We are finalizing our plan to open a Market Information Center (MIC) in Mpanda which will serve beekeepers in Rukwa and Katavi Regions.
The objective of Mpanda's MIC is to assist beekeepers in these regions to improve competitiveness and production of honey and bee wax to enable them to compete effectively in both domestic and international markets.
The Mpanda's MIC will also look for markets and link the beekeepers with these markets. They will, also, be provided with technical support required to satisfy these markets.
IBUTTI appreciates the support and cooperation from Mr. Anthony Mhanda, Managing Director of Tongwa Nutrition, for making it possible to establish this MIC.
Tongwa Nutrition is an agribusiness venture based in selling organic honey and maize flour. It is divided into two departments: (i)farming department and (ii) selling department. Farming department is based on a ten acres honey farm with 90 Top Bar hives located at Mbede village.

Export training Workshop for food processors
IBUTTI is organising a three-day export training workshop for food processors. The main objective of the workshop is to create awareness to participants about global markets and various opportunities availabe to them. The three-day workshop which will be conducted at a venue to be specified later, targets of producers of food products including maize floor, soft drinks, processors and semi-processors of fruits and vegetables etc.
