About us
International Business and Trade Tanzania Initiative (IBUTTI) is a non governmental organization established by International Business and Trade experts. Our primary aim is to reduce poverty and improve competitiveness and productivity of Tanzanian producers through linking them with reliable markets for their products to achieve market-driven growth.
We strive to make Tanzanian producers to understand that all over the world the market trend has changed, from "Sell What You Can Produce" to "Produce What You Can Sell".
Organisation
IBUTTI is a member of Tanzania Private Sector Foundation (TPSF), and apex body of the privete sector in Tanzania, and also a member to Agri Hub Tanzania, a network of companies, organization and individuals who support farmer entrepreneurship (commercial farming).
IBUTTI is also a member and representative of the African Cotton and Textile Industries Federation (ACTIF) in Tanzania, supporting ACTIF’s mandate to bring the disparate needs of the cotton, textile and apparel sectors into cohesive and consensus driven positions at regional and international trade and development forums..
We enjoy a good working relationship withGovernment institutions including Tanzania Trade Development Authority (TanTrade), the National Economic Empowerment Council (NEEC), individuals, enterprises, donors, and everyone who wants to improve competitiveness and productivity, and expand Tanzania's export level and capacity.
IBUTTI operates as a "facility", providing customized technical assistance either on demand or programmed, to Tanzanians in pursuit of measurable export transactions. Assistance is focused on:
- Improving links to international markets and clients.
- Increasing access to finance for export transactions.
Purpose
IBUTTI works to improve competitiveness of Tanzanian producers, linking them with domestic, regional and international markets for their produces and products, that will stimulate their growth, hence creating more job opportunities especially to women and youth, while also increasing foreign exchange earnings to Tanzania through export.
We are committed to do the following:
- To advice on, promote and facilitate the development of export trade.
- To conduct and facilitate research into investment,industrial development and the export of products and services and to make information available to all.
- To provide technical or other assistance to enterprises engaged in investment, production of goods and services and export of goods and services
