During Saba Saba 2014, Tanzania Trade development Authority (TanTrade) and Agri Hub Tanzania successfully organized Business to Business meetings between farmers/suppliers of sesame, cashew nuts, poultry, honey and horticultural products specifically cabbages, tomatoes, ginger, onions and water melons with buyers from inside and outside of Tanzania. The meetings were held from 1st to 4th July 2014 at the Mwl. J.K. Nyerere Trade Fair Ground.
The meetings were aimed at creating linkages between supply and demand for agricultural products in East Africa such as sesame, cashew nuts, poultry, honey and horticultural products specifically cabbages, tomatoes, ginger, onions and water melons.
The B2B meetings also provided opportunities for business people to discuss agribusiness issues face to face. Farmers/suppliers were provided a unique opportunity to identify and access markets for their produces.
IBUTTI participated in all meetings in all four days. We commend the good work and efforts made by TanTrade and Agri Hub, who managed to attract large buyers to come and meet with the farmers/suppliers.
